Hindsight 20/20! When it all started it was an illegal rave jamming at the park where there was no electricity, the sound was powered via DJ Mkhukhwini's car and this was around 2004. This rave involved; families, barbecues, mingling and getting to know each other while commemorating the Soweto uprising.

The June 16 1976 Uprising that began in Soweto and spread countrywide profoundly changed the socio-political landscape in South Africa.

Pioneered by DJ MK (UK) who is greatly involved within the community, this movement started fifteen(15) years ago with just a few group of friends in the park.
